KS1 Mini Beast Active Dominoes

Inject some physical activity and fun into a KS1 science lesson on mini beasts: explore non fiction text with a fact finding mission. Resource made in partnership with Leeds Museums and Galleries.

KS1 Active Rhyming

KS1 English objective: recognise and produce rhyming words

Active Maths Bingo - Year 2

Practicing the 2, 5 and 10 x tables in a fun active way! Each child or pair of children have their own bingo card, race against others to locate word problems, solve and mark of their bingo card.

Taking maths outdoors: allow each child or pair of children to collect a selection of natural objects eg. sticks, stones and leaves. Allow time for children to discuss their finds and describe what they look like and how they feel.

KS1 Habitat Hunt - Science

A team relay where children sort animals according to their habitats, discussing as a group how the habitat suits the needs of the animal in question.
