A free, musical approach to body safety that helps every child find their voice.
This engaging presentation introduces teachers and safeguarding leads to the My Body Is My Body (MBIMB) Programme - a free, award-winning, internationally acclaimed resource that uses songs, stories, and animations to help children learn about body safety, personal boundaries, and how to ask for help.
Through real examples, videos, and classroom-ready materials, we’ll explore how MBIMB can easily fit into your PSHE
curriculum and support your school’s safeguarding and RSHE objectives.
Details
The My Body Is My Body Programme has reached over 3 million children worldwide, and is now helping schools across Yorkshire make safeguarding education simple, memorable, and effective.
- Developed with educators and safeguarding professionals, MBIMB’s six songs teach key messages such as:
- Respecting your own body and others’ boundaries.
- Recognising unsafe behaviour.
- Knowing who to talk to if something feels wrong.
- Understanding that there are no secrets, only surprises.
- Teachers will see how the free online tutorials, animations, and classroom materials align with the PSHE and RSHE frameworks — saving planning time while making vital safeguarding lessons more accessible and engaging for children.
Outcome
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand how MBIMB supports statutory PSHE/RSHE and safeguarding requirements.
- Gain access to a free set of ready-to-use songs, videos, and lesson materials.
- Learn how to confidently present sensitive topics in an age-appropriate, positive, and musical way.
- Be inspired to introduce MBIMB across classes or schools, empowering every child to speak up and stay safe.
