This full day face to face training session is designed for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) leads from primary and secondary schools and SILC settings. It will support you to lead and embed a whole school approach to SEMH practices.

With the DfE Senior Mental Health Lead funding now ended, key elements of that training have been integrated into this new course.
You will explore a range of SEMH practices and resources, in order to support positive health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.
- Please note that drinks/refreshments, including lunch are not provided at this session. Delegates are however, welcome to bring their own lunch and refreshments. (Hot and cold water will be available).
Outcome
- Enhanced knowledge, skills, and confidence of SEMH leads to develop and implement effective mental health and wellbeing strategies, through a whole school approach.
- Gain an understanding of your school's current and desired approach to mental health and wellbeing, enabling strategic change for effective whole-school wellbeing.
- Greater awareness of available mental health support to ensure pupils receive timely and appropriate care.
- Understand how pupil voice and participation can support and influence SEMH practices in school.
- Awareness of how the MindMate Champions programme, including using the newly updated School Health Check, can support your SEMH provision.
- Benefit from, and contribute to, sharing good SEMH practice.
- Explore next steps for your school.

Schools with a current Health & Wellbeing SLA may be entitled to pre-paid places subject to sufficient available training credits.
The full 'pay as you go' price will be applied if you have insufficient training credits.

Cancellations: If you cancel your booking we require at least 5 working days notice. Failure to provide such notice or non attendance will result in your school being charged in full if using ‘pay as you go’. Leeds schools with a full or basic SLA package who do not inform us within 5 working days will incur an administration charge of £30/delegate
