The resource has been developed by University of Sheffield following the 2024 Breakfast in Schools Survey that found 53% of schools served at least one non-permitted item. There are helpful tips and a clear checklist to support your school in planning and checking your breakfast menu for compliance with the School Food Standards. 

There is also a short guide and poster specifically for secondary schools.
