A fun and interactive workshop for KS2 pupils. Join as a class or group to learn all about the protected characteristics.
In this live, virtual interactive session, we will look at each of the protected characteristics and introduce Care Experience, which is now a protected characteristic in Leeds.
Suitable for children aged between 7-11, along with their teacher/staff member.
Details
For each characteristic, we will look at what they are and where we can identify them in the world around us.
The session is interactive. Pupils will be able to see/hear the trainer and respond in the chat but the trainer won't be able to see/hear pupils unless you choose to turn cameras and microphones on. Please follow your own school IT protocol.
Due to limited capacity each school is invited to bring up 30 KS2 pupils.
Outcome
- What are protected characteristics and why are they important?
- What is discrimination and why does the Equality Act matter?
- How the news can help us understand the characteristics.
- How you can make an impact in your school and the wider world.
