Training Courses

Breakfast or After School Club Training

The course will focus on the food provided, making sure that menus and meals meet full compliance with the School Food Standards.

Nutrition and healthy eating standards should apply across the whole school day to ensure that all food outlets provide a consistent level of good quality meals.

Delegates will also learn about the logistics of setting up and running a before or after school club to ensure they are cost effective and a positive experience to support pupils’ needs before or after their school day.

Outcomes

The course will include information on how to set-up a breakfast or after school club, access free food or funding, tips and recipes for healthy meals and case studies.

Delegates will learn how to plan fun, tasty and low cost menus and deliver food related activities in a safe and hygienic environment, to engage pupils with the food they eat.

Audience

Breakfast and after school club leaders and organisers in primary and secondary schools.
