Developing an Effective School Council

 
    • Explore characteristics of effective Schools Councils
    • Develop a constitution to underpin your school council
    • Understand how to effectively action plan and prioritise the work of your school council
    • Discover other pupil-led activities which could fall under the remit of your school council
    • Ways for pupils to get involved in wider decision making e.g. Cluster Councils and Youth Councils
    • Linking your school council with your leadership team and school governors
    • Case studies and presentation from an effective School Council
    • Presentation form the Leeds Voice, and Influence and Change Team
    • Advice, ideas and inspiration

By the end of this training delegates should have the knowledge and resources to set up and run an effective school council. 

Booking Information
  • This course is only free to schools with a full SLA package. Those schools with a basic SLA or no SLA package are able to attend on a 'pay as you go' basis, (£240 per delegate).
