Virtual: PSHE subject leader conference - Real Life Issues

The day will consist of a mixture of keynote speakers and three workshops per session to select from.

Keynote speakers are:
Matt Guy (Leeds Youth Crime Prevention Officer, West Yorkshire Police) - knife crime, youth violence and weapons;
Helen Burton (Team Manager, Children at Risk of Exploitation, Leeds City Council) - the key issues in Leeds around Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).

Workshop choices.

Session one - choose from:
Building a school environment inclusive of LGBTQ+ identities and diverse families - Secondary Focus.
Recognising and understanding different forms of child sexual exploitation - Primary Focus.
Creating a community approach in tackling knife crime - suitable for all settings.

Session two, choose from:
Recognising and understanding different forms of child sexual exploitation - Secondary Focus.
Building a school environment inclusive of LGBTQ+ identities and diverse families - Primary Focus.
Far Right (Prevent) - suitable for all settings.

Session three choose from:
County lines - suitable for KS2 and above.
Cyber crime - suitable for all settings.
Domestic Violence - suitable for all settings.

Please confirm your workshops choices at the time of booking or mark 'video access only' if you are going to be unable to attend a session on the day.

To allow you and your colleagues to flexibly access the keynote and workshops we will be recording most sessions.
Recordings will be retained for a period of no longer that 12 months and it is your choice, whether you would like your video camera on or off on the day. If you do switch on your video camera or unmute your mic to ask a question please note that you may be recorded. 

Outcomes:

The day will help support you in delivering sessions about real life issues that children and young people are facing.

PSHE subject leaders, Headteachers, Senior Leaders, Governors or any professionals working with young people.

Please note there is a nominal charge for the subject leader days:
£25 for schools with any current Health and Wellbeing Service SLA
£75 for non SLA schools.

The registration fee includes access to the live sessions across the day, live Q&A with our expert panel, CPD certificates to all registrants and on-demand access to sessions and materials after the event.
