Oral Health Training for Schools

The course will provide attendees with an overview of the importance of good oral health in children and young people and the challenges to achieving this. It will also look at the role schools can play in improving the oral health of children such as education, food choices, key messages. It is an interactive session which encourages discussion on how to facilitate education of children and their families but also how to deliver the key oral health promotion messages to gain the maximum impact. The course will also help to ensure that your school policies, practice and environment provides a culture that promotes positive oral health.

Outcomes: To build staff knowledge in the understanding of the importance of good quality oral health promotion and how to effectively deliver good oral health promotion messages to children, young people and their families.
