School Food Ambassadors (teacher training)

School Food Ambassadors (SFA) is a unique child-led programme for monitoring school food. The elected students will take the lead for school food and represent the voice of their peers. This course will explore how SFA can improve your school meals service and give you practical guidance on how to implement the programme.

This model is flexible and can be adapted for primary, secondary, infant and special schools. This course is suitable for any member of staff with a passion for school food, who would like to take the lead for implementing this programme in their school.

“Child led school lunches have led to a direct uptake of free school meals and improved lunch times for all our children. The project has had an overwhelming impact on our afternoon lessons providing a smoother transition from dining to learning. The project is simple and easy to organise with significant results, just hand it all to the children and off you go!” (Primary head teacher)
