The Health & Wellbeing Service, in partnership with Northpoint Wellbeing and NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups Partnership, are delighted to offer delegates from our Leeds settings the opportunity to attend the third of three Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) conferences over the academic year.
Suicide is the leading cause of young deaths in the UK. This conference brings together a range of staff working with children and young people to share best practise, improve understanding and instigate positive change around suicide prevention in the city. As these issues are increasingly being identified in primary schools, we encourage both primary & secondary settings to attend.
The conference offers a selection of workshops designed to give delegates practical advice and information around suicide as well as an engaging keynote speech, panel and carousel around suicide prevention. Spaces are limited on certain workshops, it is advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
The aim of the conference is to provide relevant and up to date information, advice and training on key SEMH themes in our city and how delegates can take away the knowledge and skills they will learn and apply them to their everyday practice.
The conference is relevant to any professional working in a leadership or support capacity within schools, colleges and settings, particularly MindMate links.
Delegates are requested to select their workshops at time of booking, please ensure each delegate books on two workshops over the day. Please note the conference costs the subsidised rate of £20 per delegate for Leeds MindMate Registered settings only (Leeds schools & children's centres can register for free here www.mindmatechampions.org.uk/register) with a cancellation fee of £50 in the event of non attendance. Schools and settings external to Leeds are able to attend at the full delegate cost of £240.
We currently have no upcoming events for this course.
