Know the Stakes Resource

When young people reach their late teens, managing money can be both liberating and challenging. Some will use their new-found financial independence to explore new things, one of which might be gambling.

It's important that young people understand the risks of gambling. Parent Zone and GambleAware have created a free resource pack for parents, carers and professionals, so they can support young people to stay in control of their finances and make informed decisions.

"As teenagers and young adults start to have to cope with financial independence, they have to learn how to make informed decisions... What is important in a digital world is that professionals remember that gambling is one of the issues they need to be talking to young people about."

– Vicki Shotbolt, Founder and CEO of Parent Zone
