Oral health and hygiene
Developed with teachers and dental experts, these PowerPoint presentations for KS1 and KS2 use a simple science experiment to introduce the idea of how sugary drinks can affect teeth.
Teach your students the importance of good dental care with our range of Teeth resources for Key Stage 1 Health and Wellbeing lessons. Featuring tooth diagrams, teeth labelling worksheets, tooth brushing activities and dental vocabulary cards with key words such as enamel, molar, milk teeth, canine, decay and incisors.
The Dental Buddy programme hosts a series of educational resources for Early Years' Education, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. These include activity sheets, lesson plans and interactive presentations. All of which are freely downloadable to take into the classroom.
Ultimately, their aim is to increase children's oral health. Dental Buddy's messages for children are simple:
- Brush your teeth for two minutes twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Have a balanced diet and learn the importance of cutting down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
- Visit the dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
