Supporting you to become a Healthy Eating Friendly school and work towards Healthy Schools status.

This workshop will provide an opportunity for healthy eating leaders to work through the Healthy Eating section of the school health check and receive support and guidance from our Nutritionist during the workshop.

You will understand how to use the online tool to review your whole school approach to food and set action plans for next steps when back in school.

Details

By working alongside other schools, we will be able to share best practice and challenges for school food provision, policy and practice. The School Health Check will provide a framework for self-assessing all aspects of healthy eating across your school inline with Ofsted-style best-fit grade descriptors.

This workshop will also pilot the new Healthy Eating Friendly award and enable schools to work towards this. We will also discuss how to prepare for a Healthy Schools moderation and/or Health Eating Friendly assessment.
Delegates will be asked to bring laptops or tablets to this event in order to start completing the online audit tool during the session.

This event is ideal for School Food and Healthy Eating leaders.

Delegates are also recommended to attend 'Leadership and Management of School Food' taking place in the morning prior to this course - https://www.leedsforlearning.co.uk/Event/171085 - A £10 discount will be applied on the Healthy Eating Friendly workshop for delegates who are booked on both sessions.
