What's on in Leeds? HENRY Buddies!
The HENRY Buddies service was developed to help families through the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak and to support healthier choices for the whole family. The service which is available for families with children aged 0-12 years in Leeds, offers a way of supporting parents to look after themselves and their children at this difficult time. The service is flexible, at no cost to schools or parents and uses a parent led approach.
HENRY Buddies are a mix of HENRY staff or experienced volunteers. Families will be supported for up to six weeks through 2-3 phone/video calls a week and text/WhatsApp messaging in between calls. HENRY Buddies will help families by building a relationship with them and exploring issues raised by parents.
The project is available for a limited time only until January for schools in Leeds, so we want to make sure as many families as possible are supported over the remaining months of this year and not missing out on this fantastic service.
