My Money Week 2019 10th-16th June

This year’s My Money Week is a week away and they have created a brand-new set of digital video resources to help your pupils explore a variety of financial decisions!

Primary pupils will explore their feelings and attitudes towards spending and saving by making decisions on behalf of Max who is planning a day out.

Secondary students will consider key concepts including borrowing, peer pressure and value for money by making decisions on behalf of Sophie who is attending a festival.

The videos are accompanied by a comprehensive set of  flexible Teaching Materials including 2 ready-to-teach lesson plans focusing on saving.

Supported by Santander, My Money Week is a national activity week for primary and secondary schools that provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence in money matters to thrive in our society.

This year's My Money Week National Competition for Schools is now open!

There are three competition entry packs, Key Stage 1 (Ages 4-7), Key Stage 2 (Ages 7-11) and Secondary. Each entry pack includes a lesson plan and accompanying materials to help inspire your pupils to create inventive, thoughtful competition entries.

They will be exploring money and community with primary pupils and risk and reward with secondary students. Download your competition entry pack today!

This year, you can send them your entries electronically or by post. The closing date for the competition is Friday 19th July – have fun and good luck!

Covid-19 - Resources

Firstly may we say THANK YOU to everyone who is working hard during this time to keep children and young people happy, learning, laughing, active and calm at this time of great uncertainty!

We are keen to share tools and resources as best we can, to support children’s wellbeing and education over this period of uncertainty. With this in mind, we have produced a range of advice and free resources for schools, as well as resources for parents/carers in your school.

These resources are updated every week so please check them on a regular basis.
