Place2Be: children with less sleepĀ are more likely to struggle with worries

Coinciding with Children's Mental Health Week this week, Place2Be has published research suggesting that getting enough sleep makes a difference to how well children can manage anxieties. Of the children who usually get less than the recommended nine hours' sleep a night, 

  • 32% of children said their worries get in the way of school work (versus 22% who get enough sleep)
  • 22% of children said they don't know what to do to cope with their worries (versus 18% who get enough sleep)
